Sangeet & Jago: A night of singing, dancing, and celebration!

Attire: Women- Semi-formal or traditional Indian clothing in bright/saturated colors (e.g., lehengas).

Men- Semi-formal (button-up & slacks) or traditional Indian clothing (e.g., kurta).

The Sangeet and Jaggo night is one of the most vibrant and joyful pre-wedding celebrations in Indian weddings. It’s a night dedicated to music, dance, and pure joy, where family and friends come together to celebrate the bride and groom. The word “Sangeet” literally means music, and the evening is filled with lively performances, singing, and dancing—often showcasing choreographed routines by loved ones.

The Jaggo tradition, especially popular in Punjabi culture, is a late-night celebration that symbolizes spreading joy and awakening the neighborhood to announce the upcoming wedding. Families carry decorated pots with oil lamps, singing folk songs and dancing through the night.

For us, it’s a night of laughter, bonding, and creating unforgettable memories with everyone we love. Whether you’re dancing to a Bollywood beat or simply soaking in the festive atmosphere, it’s all about celebrating love, family, and togetherness.
